Staebies
Engineered to Eliminate Rattle
Staebies were designed by Zambumon in collaboration with AEBoards, with the goal of improving on the classic Cherry stabilisers.
They have gone through multiple iterations and production runs over the years and are the enthusiast's choice for a rattle-free experience right out of the bag.
The tight fit of these stabilisers delivers a consistent feel that requires minimal lubing and no modding, and also leads to a deeper more solid sound.
My goal with the staebies was first to identify some of the common issues Cherry stabs have and try to mitigate and improve them.
Wiggle room, how much lube is needed, wire popping, etc. Minor improvements here and there to make the user experience less miserable.

Useful Tips
If the stab is binding or returning slowly, this could be due to the keycap being slightly warped. Test by swapping different keycaps onto the stab in question to see if the same thing happens.
If so, inspect the wire for a bend. We have high QC standards but occasionally a defective part gets through or is damaged during packing. Wires can be bent back but if it cannot be resolved, get in contact.
Lastly, if the stab is returning slowly, try loosening the screws on the bottom just a bit. This usually fixes the problem. Avoid using too much lube as well, this can make it feel sluggish due to having less space for the lube.
Changes in V2
- Reduced the overall size of the crucifix.
- Moved the stem gate downwards to reduce the chance of damaging PE-MIX stems.
- Changed packaging from plastic case to cardboard box style.
