Thanks to everyone who made a purchase or had a look, This helps us push forward with new projects as well as continuing to provide products in-stock.
It costs us more to stock products but it's a much better experience. We all hate waiting months or even years for GB projects to fulfill, so we strive to keep everything in-stock.
The EC line of products will continue development and this sale has provided a nice boost to our efforts. If you have any feedback, we'd love to hear it!
EC Launch & EOFY Sale Details
We're happy to offer a discount of $111 from $810 down to $699 on the Constellation EC Full Kit bundles.
In addition, if you want to try out different accent colours, we are dropping the price by 50% down to $20!
Due to timing, we're also combining this with an EOFY sale on nearly every product on the store. Prices as marked, no code necessary.
It would be easier saying what isn't on sale: feet, gaskets, cloths, Naevies switches (limited stock remaining), EC Upgrade Kits (which do have a small discount built in) and EC switches.
The sale runs for just over 2 weeks, and ends at 11:59pm Sunday 30th June AEST time (GMT+10).
Origin Story
In 2020, as the keyboard community explored various mounting methods, we were inspired by a philosophy of experimentation. We wanted to create the Constellation as a single, versatile platform where users could test multiple mounting styles without needing different keyboards.
This customization extended to its plate options, where we offered various thicknesses and materials like aluminum, FR4, brass, and polycarbonate. The Constellation was an instant success, selling out in minutes, and we continued to expand the line with new colors and finishes.
We are proud to continue that legacy of innovation in 2025 by introducing EC compatibility to the Constellation ecosystem.
At the end of February this year, we received the Constellation PCBs but discovered it couldn't fit in the Constellation case properly. We chose to launch this product as the Satellite EC, which is still available.
The fix was to add cutouts to the edges of the PCB, which cipulot did quickly for us. We did a 'soft launch' for this in April and then ran into the next issue - missing hardware.
Now that we have everything together, we are doing a 'proper' launch.
Key Features of the AEBoards EC Switches
The most striking difference between our EC switches and traditional Topre is the all-in-one design of the switch, in a familiar Cherry MX-spec 14x14mm footprint.
They have MX sliders and our EC PCBs/keyboards use regular cherry-spec stabilisers so standard cherry keycaps will work just fine.
The spring and rubber dome are moulded together, and attaches to the bottom of the switch through friction on two pins. Simple.
Lastly, they have 0.5mm thick poron dampening pads and are not factory lubed.
This allows fitment onto regular MX plates although it will require a corresponding EC PCB to function. We hope more designs will come out, and plan on releasing an Alice layout PCB for our Praxis IM keyboards.

Constellation EC Upgrade Kit: If you already own a Constellation keyboard, buy the upgrade kit to convert it, it's that simple. Note that you will need one set of Staebies or other stabilisers.
Satellite EC Full Kit: Sharing the same DNA as the Constellation, but at a more accessible price and in 3 colours - red, grey and black.
Satellite EC Upgrade Kit: For existing owners of Satellite keyboards.
Naevies EC Switches: The switches by themselves, in boxes of 35.
